Going For The Kill

There is a question which comes up often in ministry, and it surely does for many individuals. If you have caught someone in a transgression, do you tell them that you might need to act? What I have found is that, in the "world", people will often skip all courtesies, and go straight for the kill, in silence. Perhaps there are things which recommend that. I myself prefer to take it slowly, generally letting any transgressors in on what I or we are up to (letting the cat out of the bag), and I think that that is the way that Jesus described (Matthew 18:15-17). OBSERVATION: There is a related thing about the "world": namely, threats which are idle. The Bible, I think, talks about steps which one carries through.
