Missing Notebooks

I discovered today that, in the last sweep of my property, several personal notebooks were taken -- apart from my personal diaries, that is, which I reported to the police on Thursday. These notebooks ultimately formed the basis of my metaphysic, published by the Philosophical Society of England last year. They are small hardcover books, which contain about three-thousand numbered, dated notes in my own handwriting, covering about thirty years. They include (some very personal) thoughts: my own thoughts, other people's thoughts, and experimental thoughts, often not attributed. They reveal, too, who I've been reading: Aristotle, Marcus Aurelius, Luther, Marx, Peirce, Freud, Gandhi, Derrida, and a host of others. I have done the usual, and reported to the police. OBSERVATION: The notebooks were precious to me personally. They were the groundwork for what publishing success I have, and hope to have.
