Explosive Sins

A minister's wife made a wise suggestion in a discussion in a Bible study I conducted. The background was this: the great Christian themes are conviction of sin and salvation from sin, therefore sin must always enter the picture somehow. But there are in our generation, as there surely have been in every generation, sins which are explosive, do not touch. However one may not have to touch them, she said. Sin is ever-present in all of us, and the conviction of sin can come at various points in a person's life. OBSERVATION: And sometimes, one may indeed need to touch explosive sins. According to tradition, the apostle Peter did, and that was the end of him.
