Maundy Thursday

Today is Maundy Thursday. Most years of my ministry, I have followed one of the oldest traditions of the Church and held a Tenebrae supper and service on this day. Although this service may be small, I can't imagine a Church without it. Here I was just about to get started with the service, when someone stepped up with a cell-phone and snapped the picture. OBSERVATION: I estimate that this was eight years ago. At the time, I joked that the photo illustrated "the re-emergence of retrogressive forms to re-invigorate the Church in our day".
