Graveside Comfort

This (pictured) is the third and final part of the funeral which I attended last week: the graveside ceremony. As the coffin was lowered into the grave, these two girls put their arms around one another for comfort. Notice again the prominence of children and youth at the graveside -- something which, in my own culture, one may not see. For those of European heritage, all aspects of a funeral tend to be an adult occasion. You may click on the photo to enlarge to 240k. Spot my wife.
