Alternative Reality

Two weeks ago I visited the KwaSizabantu Mission in Zululand. Here is the Church (pictured) which seats 10 000 people. It is a truly extraordinary work. Even so, there have been reservations about it. In that regard, from the little I have seen, I would observe two things: • No human work is ideal, even if it is a mission wholeheartedly given to God, and • They have created an alternative reality, including Church, housing, airstrip, agriculture, education, stores, communications, and so on, and historically, there have been some tragic experiences with that. However, KwaSizabantu are aware of both points, and seek an openness to the wider Church and wider world.
