The missionary experience is such a big one for a child, one wonders what it does to missionary children. There are a few things that I can trace back to years in the mission, travelling from atoll to atoll. To this day, I try to forget nothing, not one thing, when I travel. I expect that everything gets interrupted, and am a little surprised when it is not. I fail to take notice of pain, or I brush it off. I have excelled academically, through an early general knowledge. Above all, the mission rubbed the shine off my own culture for me.
