On our country plot this week, wife E. said: "There's a bird that's gone mad! It's attacking a tree!" I managed to get a photo of the bird. Here it is.
OBSERVATION: Woodpeckers did not exist on the plateau where E. was brought up, nor were they in her school curriculum. This is an interesting example of what some people know and others don't. It is very much the case vice versa, too. E. knows a lot about things that I had once never heard of.
