Regenerative Radio

I was looking for a regenerative radio kit on the Internet today when I remembered that, oh, I designed one myself. In fact, I designed several. This was the last one I designed, and the most mature. It works up to 5MHz on the Long Wave, Medium Wave, Short Wave, and Single Side Bands, and puts out 1W RMS power. It uses a standard Medium Wave tuner for VC1, and a standard Medium Wave coil for L1 -- or 80 to 100 turns of 30swg / 0.315mm enamelled copper wire, close-wound on a 10mm diameter ferrite rod. It draws 20 to 30mA current. That's about all one needs to know. The basic principle of regenerative radio is described on the Internet. Click on the image to enlarge. OBSERVATION: The design is Copyright © Wimborne, and may not be reproduced elsewhere. On the Internet, I like the Scout Shortwave Regenerative Receiver.
