I took this photo of a girl in the Kouga River in the Eastern Cape, on a special outing. Her parents used to swim here a generation ago. It was their secret getaway. But now, everyone has staked their claim on the river's banks. One doesn't know when one is putting one's foot on someone else's piece of ground. OBSERVATION: The Kouga River is only 5km / 3mi long. It is characterised by steep gorges and tangled forest vines.
