I had a philosophy article published earlier this morning (click here): Language: Two Himalayan Mistakes. It goes to the heart of our language -- as to how we set the bounds of a word's meaning, and how we qualify that meaning thereafter. In short, it is about subject and predicate. I suggest that we got the very basics wrong. This is not merely a matter of semantics, but has a profound influence on our thinking from day to day. With this, I return to themes which were central to my "big break" in philosophical writing a few years ago. The painting is one by Richard Diebenkorn.
