Earlier this year, I conducted a funeral. The family asked me how much they should pay me to conduct it. I had no idea -- none -- because I have never asked, or sought to find out. I suggested that they ask the undertaker. The gift I received for conducting it was the largest I have received in my career. In fact, the gift I received before that was the largest until then. OBSERVATION: More than being blessed through such gifts, I feel that my ministry has been a blessing to others. To qualify the above: for some funerals, there may be fees I need to convey: fees for the organist, for instance, or the caretaker, or the hire of facilities.
