At A Loss

This one is a repost. Two days after this post (in fact, less than two days) my wife died. This is what I blogged on 2 January 2011: "A week ago, they stabilised wife M in hospital (she has bone marrow cancer). But after she was discharged, she went down so fast. By today, she was in a dreadful way. Yesterday I called a "house doctor" to our home -- I wanted to hear some common sense. I haven't had it from the hospital -- they are not talking. But today the house doctor had M admitted to hospital. All her vital signs were wrong. OBSERVATION: This week I was at the end of my ability to take care of M -- although I know that she wants nothing else. I am at a loss as to what to do. But that is where -- so I tell my counselees -- God steps in."
