Displeasure In A Bride

There are, in the Bible, instructions as to what to do if a husband takes displeasure in his new bride. Tragically, it happened once with me. I jointly conducted a wedding with another minister. The bride and groom went off on honeymoon -- and he rejected her. Immediately he wanted the marriage annulled, claiming that we had not asked him the requisite questions before he signed the register. But we had -- and the register had the usual five signatures. He had to divorce her -- and the bride was heartbroken. My colleague said: "He's an absolute bastard." OBSERVATION: It only happened once in my career -- and this groom was an angry man even before the wedding.
