I attended Church in Cape Town’s Atlantic Area today, at the Dutch Reformed Church in Three Anchor Bay. I have known all the ministers here since the 1960s. The photo gives an impression of the service. A visiting minister emphasised that the Church's goal is for people to meet God. OBSERVATION: A solid focus. My complaint is one that I always have with the Dutch Reformed Church -- there is little emphasis on the need for our response. This, I think, has to do with their Calvinist roots. The Church would seem to have experienced, too, a lurch towards cultural monotony since I last was there. But it has grown.
