Suicide Is The Greater Evil

In my experience in ministry, suicide is always is the greater harm -- in relation to whatever would have happened next. Here's just one example among many. A churchgoer committed suicide. He had been heard to say that he would no longer be a burden to his wife if he were dead (a typical sign of depression, rather than a selfless ideal). His wife said to me afterwards: "I would rather have battled it out with him." OBSERVATION: And in Christian thinking, "whatever would have happened next" delivers an eternal blessing, particularly under such circumstances.
