I attended an evangelical ministers’ fraternal, where a minister asked us why there are Churches which are splitting over worship. The conversation drifted to Churches that hold different services for different “worship constituencies”. The clear consensus -- strongly held -- was that one should strive to hold it all together in one worship service. We noted, too, that it is not so much about "worship" as it is about magnifying Jesus Christ together. OBSERVATION: And in Africa this is not merely traditional vs. contemporary, but ethnic worship, too. Note that this was an evangelical ministers' fraternal. It might look different in other fraternals. The photo shows a worship team in one of my Churches.
