I once met someone who, ten years earlier, had moved away from our area, and so had joined another Church. He asked me: “How is the Church going?” I said: “It’s become more chaotic.” He said: “Personally, Charismatic is not for me.” OBSERVATION: It was a non-Charismatic chaos. In fact it was a friendly, happy, lively chaos. A sign of life. What we found was that, as the Church became increasingly multicultural, and as it increasingly practised "ministry by members", a benign chaos became a part of that. One would have people breezing in and out, muddle-ups with special items, children breaking loose, and so on. An English visitor commented that it was far from his hushed and ordered Church at home.
