I met a policeman last week, who had taken early retirement. He said to me two years ago: "I have nightmares at night, that I am back in the force. I wake up in terror. Then I say thank you God, thank you, I am not." I asked him how he was getting on now. He said: "I reach a new level of peace -- and then another -- and then I realise that I was still far off before. And then another, and another."
