There is a great deal of emphasis on "community" in Churches today. Many even have the word "Community" in their name. M.M. Lewis is a socio-linguist. He said something of great importance for the Church. The more that one talks about community ("group orexis"), the greater the chances that such community will suffer shipwreck -- but the less one talks about community, the better its chances. Here is a quote by Lewis:
"A higher degree of awareness of group orexis does not lead to a higher degree of integration; but rather to an increase of disintegration and conflict."
