I believe that Churches other than Congregational are not likely to thrive in urban environments. That refers not merely to Churches with the label "Congregational" but to the dynamic of their people. In my experience, Churches which were not Congregational in their dynamic -- Methodist, Anglican, Presbyterian, and so on -- while they could thrive in suburbia, or in the country, generally were not sustainable in the city. OBSERVATION: This does not mean that they closed down. Rather, that they needed to form circuits, obtain external support, go into "maintenance mode", and so on. Congregationalism provides a system which prevents this.
