It was a quiet start to a quiet day today -- until I stopped at the place where I was ambushed last year in an affluent suburb -- and a man walked over in a black leather jacket, one hand inside a lapel. I reacted instantly, and screeched away. In all likelihood, I was not under threat, but I think there was no other safe thing to do. OBSERVATION: I was taken there at gunpoint last year. For 45 minutes, two men searched my papers in turns, then they took data, money, and valuables. Recently they were apprehended, although only one is remanded in custody.
