Cactus Veins

It's the veins of a fallen cactus, which I snapped in South Africa's Suurveld. The cactus is Opuntia, commonly called the prickly pear. These grow five to seven metres tall, and provide an edible fruit. They originate in South America. You may click on the photo to enlarge.
