Planetary Woes And Sample Graphs

My most recent article The world in crisis: it’s not what we think met a few challenges. Especially: to what extent does the explosion of big data since about 2000 coincide with other trends? Here are some sample graphs, all from reputable sources (you may click on them to enlarge). I have superimposed red shade on statistics from 2000. Some graphs are limited in scope, and there will surely be counter-examples. However, I think there is a good case to be made for the proposal that big data, from about the year 2000, has a lot to do with our planetary woes. I briefly surveyed a few hundred graphs in writing the article.
