Minature Radios

I stumbled upon an old advertisement today for the Sinclair Micromatic, said to be the world's smallest radio at the time at 33 mm x 46 mm. It picked up one radio band. I was once the proud owner of one, as well as the smaller Soviet Astrad Orion -- a beautiful little thing. I went on to design a miniature radio myself, published in September 2005, the printed circuit board of which measured 23 mm x 43 mm (pictured). It potentially picked up eight radio bands. It could have been built a lot smaller than shown. It was called the All-Band Radio, advertised as having "excellent reception".
