Counselling In Writing

I have held very many counselling sessions. In later counselling, I have typically written down a few crucial points at the end of a session and handed them to counselees. In a few cases, I have written letters to counselees. A lot is said in, say, an hour's session, and a counselee could easily lose the thread -- particularly if they are distressed, disorientated, or angry. I have done this not only in the case of pastoral counselling, but also in the case of people who were in practical difficulty. OBSERVATION: I have basic training in psychology, pastoral counselling, and mentoring, some of it postgraduate.
