I found the photo this week, of me as a boy, feeding chickens with my
guardian Temeeti on Beru atoll, an island 6.9 square miles in extent,
1°20' south of the equator. OBSERVATION: What does one feed chickens on a "desert island"? It can't be grain. Temeeti and I chewed coconut together and spat it out for them. I visited this spot nearly thirty years later, and found the remains of this chicken run -- stumps in the ground.
