There was intense interest in my recent post about search and
seizure raids -- it soon shot to the top of my Popular Posts list. I photographed all these raids -- and today I keep this memento with me (on the right). It is
a doorknob that was smashed open to search inside. The raids were violent, ruthless. The raiders went inside picture frames, inside envelopes, toys, equipment (ripped to pieces), under a concrete floor, inside my car ventilation, inside switches, under the carpets. But the things which were searched -- frames, equipment, and so on -- were of no interest to the raiders, and were left behind.
