I have often stepped in on behalf of others, as a minister. A well loved Christian student worker was scheduled to have brain surgery two weeks ago, but his medical aid postponed it indefinitely. Without saying anything to him, I "got stuck into" his medical aid. His surgery is now scheduled for this week. What exactly went on after I confronted the medical aid is anyone's guess, but it is possible that my intervention influenced the course of events. OBSERVATION: I would add that when a minister does intervene, he or she is stepping in from the side, so to speak, not owning the problem. This avoids entanglement, and loosens up the situation.
