I took this photo last month of a funeral service. Funerals in rural South Africa are typically a
series of services, say four or five services, which take several hours in all. Following services in the home, there typically is a service
outside the home (here pictured). Then there is a service in the Church, and a service at the graveside.
OBSERVATION: There is a spontaneous separation of men and women. Most women wear headdresses, some Church uniforms. The weather here was very hot.
