Invention 22: Wristwatch Pedometer

Many of my designs have, directly or indirectly, gone into production (just one example here, at the top of the Revolution Education page). But I have more ideas than I am able to develop -- therefore I am placing on my blog some of the ideas which I think would be viable products if manufactured. Here then is the latest: a wristwatch pedometer -- not an electronic one, but mechanical. I do not think that this has been done before, and it could be the height of "cool" -- integrating what now is an electronic function into a mechanical watch. It would be able (mostly) to distinguish between desk work and walking -- and if there were competition, manufacturers could boast of their devices' proven accuracy.
