Congregations Underweight

In seminary they teach you: "Walk into a Church. What do you see? Analyse." I walked into a Church last week, and saw people who had been fed. They were generally of normal weight. There are Churches where people by and large have not been fed. They are clearly underweight. OBSERVATION: I was reminded of it on the BBC this morning: The Volunteers Fixing Their Town. Where one sees a town like that, one sees people underweight. But the people are generally not the interest. For instance, Wikipedia introduces the problem of Malnutrition in South Africa by estimating its cost to the GDP. One statistic among many: in 2000, one in five primary school children in South Africa suffered from malnutrition.
