From time to time, I am asked whether anyone ever died in Church. Not during the service, no, although some took ill -- but once a young woman sneaked into our empty Church alone, sat down in a pew, right in the middle of the Church, and died -- seated, with her head down. I think our caretaker reported it. Next thing, there were blue flashing lights and sirens and uniformed police officers with guns drawn, and a lot of people running around. I took a look at her, and thought I recognised her, but I couldn't quite place her. After that, I never found out who she was or why she died.
