I had a short photo essay published this morning which explains, from a philosophical point of view, why the world is in the predicament that it is: Buckled Rails. It uses snippets from a revised chapter of my book. OBSERVATION: Basically, scientific theory is ideal -- such as the theory which was applied to this railway track in Scotland. Yet we continually apply it as though reality itself is ideal, which it is not.
