Presbyterians: an Affidavit

I blogged previously about the considerable trouble I had with certain Presbyterian ministers. A UPCSA (Presbyterian) minister therefore advised me to make an Affidavit, and submit. In principle, it was good advice -- though I preferred not to do this. I felt that an Affidavit was a bit harsh -- and though an Affidavit must be true on pain of perjury, I was not convinced that it would appear impartial -- it is after all signed by the person who has the greatest interest in it. I therefore approached city attorneys -- the best. I asked them to study the matter -- which they did, with great care. They wrote up an impartial report, and sent a letter to the UPCSA requesting full apology, plus costs. Unfortunately, this failed to deliver any progress. Today, therefore, I made the Affidavit which was originally advised, and submitted it to the UPCSA.

ADDENDUM: I did not paint the full picture. City attorneys requested an apology -- and a legal director advised me to sue, if I had the will. I omitted the legal director.
