What theology graduates don't know is positively dangerous. Talking to graduates this week, I discovered (again) just how exposed they are, through ideas which in practice would probably spell disaster. One really should sit seminary students down and say, "Here are the major hazards and challenges in ministry. Here is how to approach them, how to avoid them, how to solve them." Yet as in previous generations, this apparently does not happen. OBSERVATION: In general, nearly all solutions come from the desire to exalt Christ together. If new ministers see that, then problem areas are relativised -- insofar as they are no longer absolute in themselves, but things are given their value or glory in relation to Christ.
