Losing Everything

During my ministry, there have been sets of people -- or representatives of these sets -- who lost everything. It seems distant now, but when I started in ministry, there still were survivors of the Boer War concentration camps. There were still orphans from Europe, whose families were killed in WWII. Later, there were refugees from wars and genocide in Central Africa. Today, many people do not see past their own suffering -- yet well within living memory, there were sets of people among us -- and still are -- who lost everything. OBSERVATION: Not to speak of many individuals besides. Many of them -- if not most -- remade their lives.
