Today I browsed a reel of film which my father took in the 1960s. With anticipation, I thought it might include the traditional making of fire out of nothing -- a skill that hardly anyone has in modern society today. I was there that day, when the men made fire. I remember the movie, too. Alas, the movie has now so seriously degraded (on the right) that it seems unlikely that I shall recover it.
