Tracking Messages

It is ten days since I notified the Independent Police Investigative Directorate (IPID) that I had proof the police had been involved in a cover-up of charges against me. Here is what has happened until now. I notified IPID Western Cape via e-mail, and requested both a machine receipt (MDN) and a read receipt. A machine receipt showed that they blocked my message, which meant that there would be no read receipt. The same day, I rerouted my e-mail to IPID HQ in Gauteng, and copied it to the Department of Justice. IPID Gauteng defeated the machine receipt, and I had no response to the read receipt. That is, I drew a blank there. However, I received a machine receipt from the Department of Justice -- a human had seen it, though not responded. After seven days, I notified IPID KwaZuluNatal, and asked them to refer my e-mail to IPID Western Cape on my behalf. They did. OBSERVATION: If anything, this shows the importance of tracking one's messages. I only definitely got through on a third attempt, although I do not yet have a receipt.

POSTSCRIPT: Shortly after this, HQ Gauteng forwarded my complaint to one of its officers (not IPID Western Cape). I await a receipt.
