A frequent question is: how to bring the average age of a Church down. This happened in all of my ministries. My best statistics come from my city ministry, since I needed to research this for seminary. When I started, the ages 0-35 were 13% represented (out of a potential 100% for that age group). In my 20th year, the ages 0-35 were 67% represented (again, out of a potential 100%). OBSERVATION: It was not my own age that did it -- I myself was well beyond that age group. I feel that there was one thing above all that did it. I invited young people to minister, in the Congregational tradition. However, that was just a part of asking all people to minister.
