Every now and then, I put up bright ideas here. This one could improve the lives -- at least the enjoyments -- of millions of people. The number of amplifiers in Africa (not least Church amplifiers) which deliver seriously distorted sound is very, very many. This is often due to abuse of the amplifier. In the same way that cars have indicators for various faults, so reputable manufacturers, with little additional expense, could light up an indicator: "Amplifier needs service." This would monitor actual sound quality. OBSERVATION: After all, what is more important than an amplifier's sound? I do not find such a thing on the Internet, although I do find amplifier test equipment everywhere. Clip lights are a step in the right direction, but why not a fault indicator?
