I received an e-mail from a (former) editor-in-chief this week, inquiring after my metaphysic's (panoramic philosophy's) progress. I gave him an idea of both public and literary agents' feedback, and he usefully sent me his assessment -- which agrees with my own.
"Clearly ... the comments offered by agents you've reached out to are highly supportive and seem purposeful in urging you to stay the course. That's not done lightly in the agency and publishing businesses."
However ... I have not landed a contract. For a while, though, I could not see a way to further improve my work. A few months ago, I saw a very signifiant way of doing that -- and have done it. A well known philosopher promises to comment this week -- which will surely lead to further improvement. OBSERVATION: So things are still on the move, very much so. Public feedback has been very positive. Readers have been captivated by the book (the manuscript).
