Problems of Agents' Online Forms

I have started tackling literary agents who use on-line forms. I didn't expect it. Apart from the fact that some simply don't work, they are clearly surrounded by a raft of problems: • Sometimes they require registration. • Verification times out. • The CAPTCHA device fails. • They only allow a reduced character set. • Their editing commands don't work. • They have been hacked. • They are not referenceable. • They vanish without a word. OBSERVATION: There is a lot more, but that should give some idea. At the moment, I estimate serious problems with half of online forms -- which is really a lot -- most of them connected with one provider. Where an agent accepts e-mails, there is little to go wrong, unless the address no longer exists, or one is blocked for some reason (say, attachments are not allowed).
