The Poor in the Pandemic

During the pandemic, at one point, about half of South Africa's population was left without money for food. I was keen to understand how people managed to survive, when I visited the townships recently. In many cases, people were already dependent on others, but those others had become dependent themselves. Government grants have been a help, but they are minimal. For the rest, it was as I know it from ministry. The poor were begging mostly from the poor, and using the same (very varied) methods that I know from ministry. Perhaps some examples in a future post.
