Revolutionary Design

Today I had a revolutionary design published in Silicon Chip magazine. I took Armstrong’s 1914 regenerative radio patent, and applied it to Fisher's 1925 beat frequency oscillator (BFO) patent, thereby doubling the range, and quadrupling the sensitivity, of a whole family of metal detectors. That's what I couldn't say in my videos -- now I can! My next step -- not yet published -- was to invent a way to stabilise operation. OBSERVATION: It began with the realisation that the range of BFO just didn't make sense. It wasn't right. Taking an existing design, and playing with its internal propagation delay, I then needed a single component to double the range, through positive feedback.
