One approaches the writing of a book with certain "philosophies of writing". Here are two of mine. Firstly, one should not underestimate the intelligence of one's readers. So there are threads in my latest (next) book which require a multi-chapter awareness as one reads. However, it doesn't matter too much if something is missed. Secondly, a book should not be a closed system. An open system is more real. Thus in my latest book, there are little mysteries in the book which are never resolved, no matter how many chapters one reads.
