There are some complicated decisions in ministry, and they may disturb one's peace. I have often
written down my thinking about decisions, and this has two big advantages: I can quickly recall the various factors involved, and I can shut down renegade thoughts which so easily intrude and distress one.
OBSERVATION: Without the discipline of writing it down, one's thoughts may easily become tangled -- unnecessarily so -- even after one has settled on a sensible approach. Not that one's notes need to be final -- one can always revise them.
