Hoping It's Not A Mess
I have found through ministry that people tend to live in their own cocoons. They may miss what is happening in society around them. Which is until -- someone said to me -- the food rots in their own fridge. Then they truly know that something is wrong. From my experience of South African society, which has included the inner sanctum of government departments, public bodies, and private companies among other things, the rot is now very serious. And it is not the African National Congress, if that means that their members are the primary problem. It could be the person sitting at your table. It is endemic. OBSERVATION: Donald Trump recently called South Africa "a total and very dangerous mess". To which the eminent Ellis Myandu replied: "Many of us still hope he is wrong."
