Answering for Behaviour
A Church member once gave me a call. She was worried, she said, that I might think she had been involved in some murmuring in the Church. She wanted me to know that she had not been a part of it. OBSERVATION: This incident reveals a few things. People were aware that they may need to answer for their behaviour in the Church, if for example they were murmuring. It further shows -- since murmuring is not a striking offence -- that I tended to tackle issues at a low level, and generally didn't permit them to become more serious. I think this is a good dynamic, basically, and tends towards health without conflict.
