Reputation of Repute

For a year and a half in my teens, I was in boarding school. I would think my parents put me there for three reasons:

1. They wanted me to have experience of life,
2. I had been a problematic teen, and
3. It had a reputation as a prestigious school.

From the outside looking in, yes, it had the reputation. However, seeing it from the inside, it fell far short. In a rare moment of assertiveness, in a letter (shown), I pointed this out to my parents.
